Mick Burrill brings 25 years of volleyball experience to this position, serving at all levels of team leadership from managing to head coach. Coach Burrill got his start in volleyball by managing his high school women's team. He played pick-up ball in the army and volunteered with a women's high school team in Michigan before attending Moody Bible Institute in 1989. While at Moody, he served as the women's assistant coach for 16 years, participating in 5 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division II National Tournaments, and also coached men's team for 20 years, including 5 years as Head Coach.
Coach Burrill began coaching at Central in the fall of 2008 and is excited about the opportunity to recruit and train young women who are committed to challenging themselves academically and building their God-given skills and talents for His Glory, to become the best volleyball players possible. He believes that leadership, submissiveness to authority, a disciplined work ethic, becoming proficient in solving interpersonal conflict, and learning how to win with humility are just a few of the many qualities that can be gained by pursing excellence in the sport of volleyball. He is joined in this ministry by his wife Amy, two sons John and Ross, and daughter Emma.
