Todd Spehr, a native of Camperdown, Australia returns to Central Christian College for his second season to serve as an assistant to the men's basketball program under Tony Romero. Todd graduated from Central Christian College in the spring of 2006 after transferring from Lamar Community College in Lamar, Co. Todd was a standout for Coach Justin Gillette for two years, earning all MCAC honorable mention in both the 2005 and 2006 seasons and was the leading scorer for the 2005-2006 Tigers.
Todd graduated from Central with a degree in Business and a minor in Journalism. After graduating, Todd played for a year in the Australian Basketball Association, a semi-pro league in Australia. Todd's long-term goal is to have a career in Journalism, and he is currently the Contributing Editor of the recently-launched Buckets Magazine. He is also a columnist for SLAMonline, and his work has appeared in Pro Basketball Today, Handle Magazine, and Lindy's Pro Basketball Preview.
In August, 2010, Todd announced his engagement to fellow Central graduate Yolanda Morales (c' 09). Of the opportunity to coach at Central, Todd says, "I'm thankful Tony has given me the opportunity to return to Central for another season of coaching, and I'm excited to be part of a growing program with a talented group of young men."
