The Tiger volleyball team finished off their home schedule on Saturday with a loss to the College of St. Mary Flames. The Tigers were defeated by their MCAC foe 7-25, 18-25, 16-25. The Tigers seemed to come out a little flat after a tough match on Friday night against Waldorf. They struggled to get any kind of offense going in the first set against the Flames. After dropping the opening set 7-25, the Tiger offense started to get things going in the second set, putting a little scare in the Flames. The Tigers dropped the second set 18-25, but continued to battle hard in the 3rd. The ladies finished the game strong scrambling after every ball, and hitting the floor off the Flames attack. In the end however, it was too much CSM and the Tigers were swept by the Flames.

The Tigers were led offensively by Audra Howell and Victoria McCord who notched 4 kills each. Kathryn Lott was right behind them with 3 kills. Defensively the Tigers recorded two blocks, a pair of assisted blocks by Audra Howell, Victoria McCord, Angela Jamison, and Kelli Coates. Samantha Dahl led the back line of the Tigers with 12 digs.

The Tigers fall to 1-24 on the season and 0-12 in the MCAC. They will wrap up their season next weekend on the road at Bacone College. The Tigers will play the University of the Southwest at 5:30 and then the host school Bacone College at 7:00 pm on Friday.
