The soccer games tonight between the CCC Tigers and the Manhattan Christian College Crusaders certainly lived up to their billing. The women's game got the evening off to an exciting start. The Tigers and Crusaders played 100 minutes of soccer with neither team able to crack the other's defense. The Tigers dominated the time of possession, and had numerous opportunities, but just couldn't find the right combination to put the ball in the net.

The Tigers finally cracked the code in the second overtime when Cassie Mouthrop played a ball into the 18 yard box. The MCC goal keeper and the Tigers' Krystina Powell both had an opportunity to play the ball, and Krystina won the battle. The ball squirted free, and Powell buried it in the back of the net for the win. The goal came in the 102nd minute of the game and gave the Tigers their second win of the season.

Amanda Curtis and Twila Smedley shared time in goal for the Tigers. Curtis played the first half and came up with 2 saves. Smedley played the second half and the overtime periods also coming away with 2 saves. Coach Reimer liked the way the Lady Tigers played together as a team saying, "We really moved the ball very well tonight and had a good opportunity to work on some details of our attack. I am just glad we finally finished one for the win."

The Tigers are 2-11 on the season. They are back in action Saturday for homecoming against Central Baptist College. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 pm
