It was a tough weekend for the Tiger volleyball team. CCC lost a pair of conference games on the road in Oklahoma. The Tigers were swept in both matches. On Friday, the Tigers were defeated by the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles 8-25, 15-25, 14-25. The Tigers were without starting setter/OH Audra Howell and it showed as they struggled to get their offense going. They managed only 5 kills for the entire match. Samantha Dahl and Angela Jamison were the kills leaders for the Tigers with 2 apiece. Dahl also led the Tigers in defensive digs with 14.

Coach Romero commented on the match saying, "Tonight we received the ball well, which is encouraging because that's something we've struggled with. Unfortunately we were too timid when it came to attacking the ball and the more aggressive team won tonight."

On Saturday, the Tigers were defeated by the other Eagle team in the MCAC, the Southwestern Christian University. The Tigers lost the match 12-25, 10-25, 21-25. The Tigers did a better job of getting their offense rolling in Saturday's match which resulted in 24 kills as a team. Victoria McCord let the Tigers with 7 kills. Next was Angela Jamison with 6 kills. Samantha Dahl continued to lead the Tigers defensively adding 13 more digs to her season total.

The Tigers will regroup and get back in action next weekend. The Tigers will go back on the road Friday for a Quad Tournament at Haskell University in Lawrence, Ks.
