There is a lot of athletic action this weekend both on and off campus. Here is a rundown of what our teams are up to Friday and Saturday.

The Tiger volleyball team has a pair of conference games this weekend on the road in Oklahoma. They start off with a match against Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Friday night at 6:00 pm. The Eagles are 7th in the conference standings with a 10-14 overall record, and a 2-4 MCAC record. They are currently riding a 6 game losing streak.

On Saturday, the Tigers travel to Central Oklahoma for a 1:00 pm conference match against Southwestern Christian University. The SWCU Eagles' season is almost a mirror to that of the Tigers. The Eagles are just 1-24 on the season and 0-6 in conference play. They are currently mired in a 12 game losing streak.

The Tigers will be without junior setter/OH Audra Howell, who had a tonsillectomy this week, but could still win both of their matches this weekend.

The women's soccer team heads the opposite direction of the volleyball team. They are headed north to Omaha, Nebraska to play a conference game against the College of St. Mary Flames. The Flames are holding down the #2 spot in the MCAC with a 7-7 season record, and a 3-0 conference record. This will be another tough test for a young Tiger squad that has been plagued with injuries. Game time is slated for 2:00 pm

The Tiger men are hoping to end a 3 game skid when the Hillsdale Baptist Saints come rolling in to McPherson on Saturday evening for an 8:00 game. The Saints are out of Moore, Oklahoma and bring with them a 3-6-1 season record. The Tigers and Saints have several common opponents on their schedules. Both teams have played Central Christian College of the Bible with the Tigers winning 9-0 and the Saints winning 3-2. The Saints have also played Manhattan Christian College and the Tigers will play them next week. CCC and Hillsdale have played 5 of the last 6 years. The Tigers have won all 5 meetings the largest margin of victory was a 6-0 win in 2007, the narrowest was a 2-1 overtime win in 2010.

The Tiger Cross Country team will be in action here at home on Saturday. The Tigers are participating in the "McPherson Lakeside Shootout" at Lakeside park. The Tiger women have four runners competing beginning at 10:15. Eliud Ngetich, who finished second in the Tabor invitational a couple of weeks ago, will be the only Tiger off of the men's team running this weekend. He and his fellow competitors will start at 11:00.
