The Tiger men's soccer team went on the road Wednesday night to play a non-conference game with Concordia University in Concordia, Nebraska. The Tigers were riding a 3 game winning streak including a 2-1 overtime win over York College on Saturday. Unfortunately the Concordia University Bulldogs were a little too tough for the Tigers, shutting them out 2-0.

The Tigers and Bulldogs were locked at 0-0 after the first half but the Bulldogs stormed out of the break and scored twice. Their first goal came at the 48th minute, and their second game came in the 60th minute. CU outshot the Tigers 19-7. Tiger goal keeper Alex Akrawi faced 8 shots on goal stopping 6 of them.

Coach Hoxie commented on his team's performance saying, "We were fortunate to be 0-0 after one. They were better in the second, but still a winnable game. They are well coached and exposed our flaws, however, we beat ourselves because we are selfish players and dribble too much. Or we just don't know how to play. Either way that is my fault. "

The loss stops the Tigers win streak at 3 games, and sets their season record at 6-4-1. They are back in action on Saturday in a conference match up with always tough Bellevue University. The Tiger men will take the pitch at 2:30 pm following the women's game at 12:00 pm.
