McPherson, KS - June 4, 2012 Central Christian College women's basketball coach Robert Lancaster has added another player to his roster for the 2012-2013 season. Olivia Richard, a 4'11" senior point guard from Baytown, Texas has signed a letter of intent to play for the Tigers next year. Richard was a three year letter winner for the Lady Rangers and head coach Laurie Welch at Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown.

Coach Lancaster believes Olivia will be an immediate asset for his program next year. He commented on her signing saying, "Olivia is a great leader and has a great attitude. She is a hard worker who makes other players around her better. We are excited Olivia is going to be a part of the program here at Central." As well as her abilities on the court, Richard is a very good student in the classroom as well. Throughout high school, she has carried a cumulative GPA of 3.58.

Olivia is the daughter of Steven and Shelia Richard of Baytown, Texas. She plans on pursuing a degree in Art and Communications while attending Central beginning next fall. She will move to campus in late August and join her new teammates for preseason workouts.
