McPherson, KS - May 21, 2012 - Amanda Berggren, a senior at Greely County High School in Tribune, KS has signed a Letter of Intent to play women's tennis Central Christian College of Kansas. Berggren will be a freshman at Central Christian during the 2012-2013 season.

Berggren is a 4-year letter winner for Greely County High School tennis coach Jackie Myers. She is also very capable in the classroom. She will graduate this month with a 3.22 cumulative high school GPA.

Amanda will be a part of CCC tennis coach Jeremy Nelson's biggest and most talented recruiting class since taking over the program in 2008. She will join five other freshman and three returning players next season. Coach Nelson commented "Amanda is an extremely hard worker and coachable tennis player with a tremendous upside. With her attitude and work ethic, she will fit in nicely with our current team."

Amanda is the daughter of Bryan and Dorcas Berggren of Towner, CO. She plans on pursuing an Accounting degree while attending CCC next fall.
