The CCC women's tennis team was back in action on Monday in a pair of matches on the road in Arkansas and Oklahoma. The Tigers squared off at 9:00 am against John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ar. The JBU Golden Eagles defeated the Tigers 8-1. The lone Tiger win came from Kristen Reith at the #1 spot. Reith dominated the match from the beginning winning the first set 6-0. In the second set, Reith continued to play patient and smart allowing her to win the set 6-1.

In the afternoon, the Tigers travelled to Bartlesville, Ok to play Oklahoma Wesleyan University. The Tigers were defeated by the Eagles 2-7. The Tiger wins came at the #4 and #5 singles spots. Samantha Graves won at #4, winning the first set in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-5). She dropped the second set 4-6 forcing the match to end with a 3rd set super tiebreaker. Graves won the tiebreaker 10-6 to win the match. Susan Alt also won her match in three sets. Alt dropped the opening set 3-6, but rallied to win the second 6-4. In the super tie breaker, Alt prevailed 10-7.

Coach Nelson commented, "I am proud of the way the Lady Tigers continue to improve every match. The present can be frustrating, but the future looks bright."
