On Thursday November 17 -19, Central Christian College will be hosting the NCCAA Central Region Volleyball Tournament. Nine teams will be participating in the tournament including: Colorado Christian University, Mid-America Christian University, York College, Dallas Baptist University, Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Southwestern Assemblies of God University, Crowley's Ridge College, Southwestern Christian University, and Central Christian College.
The Tournament is double elimination format and begins on Thursday at 12:00 pm when the Tigers take the court as the #9 seed against the 8th seeded Southwestern Christian University Eagles. The Tigers and Eagles met earlier in the season with the Eagles winning a thrilling 5 set match. Colorado Christian is the top seed and will play the winner of the Tigers and Eagles at 4 pm on Thursday. The finals will be played on Saturday at 12:00 pm.
Like the other NCCAA regional tournaments around the country this weekend, the Central Region will be collecting non-perishable food items. Food items donated this weekend by the Central Region teams will be donated to the McPherson County Food Bank.
