
The CCC men's and women's golf teams wrapped up their fall season at Sterling College on Monday and Tuesday. The Tiger women took three players to the event with Samantha McClellan having the best finish for the Tigers. McClellan shot90, 99,189 and finished in 8th place. Rebecca Downing was 4 shots behind McClellan with a 193 and finished in 9th place. Christen Markovich rounded things out for the lady Tigers in 12th place shooting 100, 110, 210.
The Tiger men had a full team and finished with a 629 good enough for 6th place in a field of 10. CCC shot 316 on day one, and finished the tournament on Tuesday shooting a 313. The top Tiger was Travis Bobychuk who shot a 74, 76, 150 finishing in a tie for 7th place. Mark Gayer was three strokes behind Bobychuk finishing with a two day total of 150 and finished in a tie for 16th. Elliot Wingert finished in a tie for 25th with an 81, 77,158. Brady Sherman shot 84, 85, 169 and finished tied for 40th. Randy Koski struggled on day one with a 90 but came back on day two and shot six strokes better to finish in a tie for 44th with a 174.
With the fall season done, the Tigers now move into their off season and will begin to prepare for their spring season beginning in February.
