The CCC women's soccer team lost a heartbreaker on Wednesday night 0-1 in overtime to the Southwestern Christian University Eagles. For 90 minutes the Tigers and Eagles played back and forth to a 0-0 draw. in the 5th minute of overtime the Eagles broke through with the game winner that got passed CCC goal keeper Amanda Curtis.
It was easily the best overall performance by the Tigers this season. They played hard on both sides of the ball. Amanda Curtis was huge in goal for the Tigers, keeping them in the game with 3 big saves. Coach Reimer though disappointed with the loss liked the way his team fought saying, "We created chances and just could not find the net. It was a tough loss, we could have won. Amanda Curtis played very well in goal and kept us in the game."
The Tigers are now 1-11 on the season and 0-2 in the MCAC. On Saturday they will travel to York, NE to play conference foe York College.
