The CCC women's soccer team fell to 1-9 on the season with a tough loss on Wednesday night at home against McPherson College. The Bulldogs defeated the Tigers 2-0, scoring both goals in the first half of action.
The Bulldogs shocked the Tigers early, scoring their first goal in the first 2 minutes of the game. The Tigers then settled down, but gave up another goal in the 38th minute of the first half. The Tigers picked things up in the second half, playing with a different intensity. They had a couple of opportunities in the half but were unable to capitalize.
Coach Reimer commented after the game, "Tough match we were in the game I think Mac just wanted it a little bit more than we did. We struggled a little bit tonight getting to the ball and winning the fifty - fifty's. We played a little better in the 2nd half. Goal keeping was pretty good, Amanda did nice job in goal, made some nice saves. We had a couple of chances, but just couldn't finish. We start the second half of our season on Saturday as conference play begins at Central Baptist."
The Tigers open up conference play on the road at Central Baptist on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 4:30 pm in Conway, AR.
