The CCC Tiger women evened up their record at 1-1 with a 7-0 shut out of the Dallas Christian College Crusaders. The Tigers dominated the game from start to finish out shooting the Crusaders 44 to 0, but it wasn't until the 25th minute that the Tiger broke the 0-0 deadlock. Freshman Melissa Schreiner drove a ball over the outstretched hand of the keeper to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. 3 minutes later the Tigers struck again. This time Freshman Krystina Powell found fellow freshman Natalie Ventura and Ventura buried the ball in the back of the net. Goals 3 and 4 came of the foot of Powell with assists going to Stephanie Street and Bri Horstmann. The Tigers ran the score to 5-0 in the half on an unassisted goal from Courtney Alt.
In the second half the Tigers continued to dominate despite coach Reimer shuffling his lineup. The Tigers scored two more times in the 2nd, an unassisted goal from Melissa Schreiner, and a goal from Stephanie Street assisted by Susan Alt. Freshman goal keeper Amanda Curtis combined with Bri Horstmann for the shut out.
The Tigers are right back at it on Saturday when the Bethel College Threshers come to town. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
