CCC women's basketball coach Robert Lancaster is pleased to announce the signing of 5'8" F/G Celeste Brinkley. Brinkley, a senior from Lansing High School in Lansing, KS is a two year letter winner for head coach Keith Andrews. Coach Andrews commented on Brinkley's time in high school saying, "Celeste has an outstanding work ethic, and is a relentless competitor." Her teammates voted her most improved and she also received the 6th man award from her team.

Brinkley also excels in the classroom. She currently has 3.8 grade point average and plans on studying communications while at Central. Celeste will bring some much needed size to the Lady Tiger team for 2011. Coach Lancaster thinks she will fit in well, saying, "Celeste is a hard worker who will fit in nicely with our transition deffense and offense."

Celeste is the daughter of Joseph and Patricia Brinkley of Lansing, KS.
