
The Tiger men's tennis team improved to 9-4 with a 9-0 sweep of the Hesston College Larks on Thursday afternoon. The Tigers kicked things off with three points in doubles. The #1 doubles team of Mark Gayer and Dylon Neal won a close match 9-8 (7-4). Ivory Washington and Jeff Szolis won easily at #2 8-1. Gunnar Kelly and David Armstrong finished off the doubles sweep with an 8-2 victory.
In singles Mark Gayer won 8-3 at #1. Dylon Neal won his match at #2 8-2. Jeff Szolis won easily at #3 8-1. Ivory Washington found himself in a battle at #4 but eventually won in a tiebreak 9-8 (7-2). Gunnar Kelly won 8-6 at #5, and Jesse Crawford finished things up at #6 with a 8-3 victory.
The Tigers take Friday off and then welcome OWU to McPherson on Monday for a 9:00 match at the high school.
