The Central Christian College men's and women's soccer teams head back out on the road this weekend for a pair of non-conference games in South Dakota. The Tiger men are 2-1 on the year and coming off of a 6-0 defeat of Randall University on Tuesday while the women are 1-3 on the season and coming of a loss on the road Tuesday at Oklahoma Baptist University.

On Friday, the Tigers will tangle with the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers in Mitchell, South Dakota. The women kick off at 5:00 pm followed by the men at 7:30. The DWU ladies come into this afternoon's match up at 4-0 on the season with wins over Waldorf, York, Grace University, and Mount Marty. They are averaging just over 2 goals per game and have outscored their opponents 9-3. Two of their four wins have been shutouts, and one came in overtime on a golden goal. The Central Tigers have played the DWU Tigers just two times in their history. Both times, the Tigers came out on the winning end, including a 3-0 victory last year.

On Saturday, the Central ladies will make the short trip over to Yankton, SD and play the Mount Marty College Lancers at 12:00 pm. Saturday's games can be seen live online at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/mountmarty/. The Lancers are currently 0-2 on the young season with losses to Presentation College 1-6 in their opener, and most recently a 2-4 loss to Dakota Wesleyan. The Tigers and Lancers have met three times previously. The Tigers are 2-0-1 against the Lancers including a 9-0 victory on the road last season.

For the Central men, they are coming off of back to back shutouts of Ozark Christian College, and Randall University. The Tigers are averaging just over 5 goals per game, and are led offensively by senior forward Joshua Taylor, who has scored 7 goals thus far, including hat tricks against OCC and Randall. They will tackle a DWU side that is currently 1-3 on the year and coming off a loss on the road last Saturday to Mount Marty College. Their lone win was a 1-0 victory over York College the opening week of the season. The Central men have played their DWU counterparts just one other time, last season on Bethany College's field. That meeting resulted in a 2-0 victory for the Central Tigers.

On Saturday, the Tigers will be looking for a little redemption against the Mount Marty Lancers. The Tigers lost to the Lancers last year on the road 0-2, after having beat them the previous year 8-1. Overall, the Tigers lead the series 2-1. This season, the Lancers are a perfect 2-0 on the season with wins over Presentation College 4-2, and 2-1 over Dakota Wesleyan in double overtime.
