Beginning on Thursday afternoon, weather permitting, Central Christian College is hosting the NCCAA Central Region baseball tournament.

 The tournament field includes the Tigers as well as Central Baptist College, Southwestern Christian University, Colorado Christian University, Dallas Christian College, Randall University, Ecclesia College, and Oklahoma Baptist University.

The format for the tournament will be two pools of four teams with the winners of each pool meeting in the championship game. Here are the teams in each pool.

Pool A

1 Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU)

4 Central Baptist College (CBC)

5 Central Christian College (CCC)

8 Randall University (RU)

Pool B

2 Colorado Christian University (CCU)

3 Southwestern Christian University (SCU)

6 Ecclesia College (EC)

7 Dallas Christian College (DCC)

The festivities are set to begin on Thursday at 12:00, with all games being played at Tiger Stadium. The first game of the day is the Ecclesia College Royals against the Colorado Christian University Cougars. The Tigers will play the late game of the day against Oklahoma Baptist starting at 8:00 pm. On Friday the action shifts to two fields as each team will play a double header in their respective pools. Pool A games will all be played at Tiger Stadium beginning at 10:00 am, while the games in Pool B will be played out at the Grant Complex. All of the games on Thursday and Friday will be 7 inning games. Saturday's Championship game is set for 1:00 pm, and will be played at Tiger Stadium.

As with all NCCAA Regional and National tournaments, the teams in the Central Region tournament will all take part in a service component. For this tournament the Christian Service Project (CSP) will be a food drive to benefit the McPherson County Food Bank. Each team will be bringing with them, $100 worth of non-perishable food items to donate to help those in need in McPherson and the surrounding area.
