The Central Christian College softball team is back in action today, hosting a double header against the Tabor College Blue Jays. The games are scheduled to get underway at 1:00 pm, provided the field is dry enough after last night's rains.

The Tigers are 2-29 on the season and are coming off of two splits last weekend in double headers against Crowley's Ridge and Ecclesia College down in Arkansas. A lack of consistency has plagued the Tigers all season and it was on display again during last weekend's road trip. They started the weekend off with a 9-0 run rule win over Crowley's Ridge, then fell in the second game 4-3. On Saturday they were run ruled 8-0 in their first game against Ecclesia then bounced back to take the finale 6-2.

They will be hosting a tough Tabor College Blue Jay squad that is 21-14 on the season and 8-4 in KCAC conference action. The Tigers and Blue Jays have met 32 times dating back to the 2006 season. The Blue Jays hold the overall edge in the series 25-7, including two wins this year over the Tigers in Hillsboro back on February 28.
