The Lady Tigers soccer team travelled down to Conway Arkansas to play Central Baptist College. CCC was coming off an exciting win last Tuesday against Southwestern College and were looking to continue the momentum. For 107 minutes both teams played to a stalemate. In the 108th minute the Lady Tigers were able to break the deadlock and win the game 1-0.
The game winning goal came off the head of senior
Jessica Ball, delivered off the foot of freshman
Stephanie Street. The game winning goal was the second for Ball in as many games and ironically it was her second header goal as well.
Coach Reimer commented, "We really struggled through the 1st half and part oft he 2nd half. In overtime we started playing better. In the first overtime we made some changes to the system we were playing and it paid off."
The Lady Tigers are now 5-3-2 on the season. They are on the road again on Tuesday to ply Bacone College.
