The Lady Tiger soccer team contiuned their strong play on Tuesday evening with a 1-0 win over the Southwestern College Moundbuilders. Both team's defenses were up to the task early in the game not allowing the opposing offense to break through and get on the score board.

In the second half CCC was finally able to break the stalemate with a game winning goal off the head of Sr. Jessica Ball. The goal came off of a textbook ball crossed into the box by Whitney Chappell on a freekick.

Head coach Mike Reimer likes the way his team is competing each time out. He commented, "we played pretty decent today. I felt good about the opportunities we created offensively and the way our defense held. After a tough season lasts year, we are very excited about already having a better record than we did last year."

The win pushes their season record to 4-3-2. The team travels again on Saturday, this time to Nebraska for a showdown with MCAC foe College of St. Mary.
