The men's soccer Reserve Team got their season off to an exciting start with a 2-1 overtime win on the road Saturday against the Bears of Barclay College. Barclay scored first with just over 10 minutes to play in the first half. It would be the only scoring in the half and the Tigers went into the half trailing 1-0. In the second half all the offense belonged to the Tigers. Fifteen minutes into the second half, freshman Wesley Tedlock scored the equalizer, a shot from 25 yards out that found its way between the Barclay keeper's legs.

Regulation ended in a 1-1 tie and the teams played a sudden death overtime period. With about 3 minutes left in the first overtime period sophomore Stephen Craig  got a pass from Zach Zellmer at the top of the 18 yard box and fired a shot off the finger tips of the Bear's keeper for the game winner.

The next action for the Reserve Team is Friday September 10 against Southwestern Adventist College.
