McPherson, KS - August 10, 2010 - Dylon Neal, a senior from Malakoff High School in Malakoff, TX, has signed a Letter of Intent to play tennis at Central Christian College. Neal will be a freshman at Central Christian during the 2010-11 season.

Neal was a standout for his father James Neal, earning a varsity letter all four years of high school. Coach Neal said of his son, "Dylon is a very talented young man. He is a hard worker and is very coachable." In addition to lettering for four years, Neal was also named MVP of his high school team all four years. Dylon had a very accomplished career for the Malakoff Tigers. He was a regional runner up in doubles in 2009 and regional doubles champion this past spring. Twice he and his doubles partner reached the 2a state finals each time coming away with a runner up finish. Dylon is as accomplished in the classroom as he is on the tennis court. He has carried a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 through his four years at Malakoff High.

The signing of Neal has capped off what has been an outstanding recruiting class for the Central Tiger men's tennis team for 2010-2011. Dylon will be joining a 4a regional qualifier from Orange, TX, a 5a state qualifier from Kansas, and a two time 5a state doubles champion also from Kansas. Central head tennis coach Jeremy Nelson is very excited about adding Dylon to the mix for next year. "Dylon is a tremendous acquisition for our program", said Nelson. "He is solid in every facet of the game. It was very clear at his tryout that he had been taught well. There is no doubt in my mind that he will come in and be an immediate impact player for us next spring."

Dylon is the son of James and Beverly Neal of Malakoff, TX. He plans on pursuing a degree in Kinesiology while attending Central.
